Which Number is Missing?

Today we learnt a new maths game and had lots of fun playing it. To play you need the numbers 1-10 and a partner. You can use a pack of cards if you want just choose one suit and take the picture cards out so that you just have the numbers 1-10.

The first thing you do is to put the numbers 1-10 in the correct order. Then one person closes their eyes and the other person takes away a card and hides it. While their partner still has their eyes closed they need to move the cards so that there is no gap in the row. Then the partner opens their eyes and has to work out which number is missing.

To make it harder you can take away 2 numbers at a time.

Here are some photos of us playing the game.
