Sharing Sharing Sharing

During maths groups in term 3 we started thinking about ways to share. We had lots of fun practising by pretending that the counters were cakes and we were all going to get something yummy to eat. We worked out that you always have to try to share things evenly so each group is the same. We found the easiest way to do this was to put one counter (cake) on each plate and make sure they all have one before coming back and putting another one on each plate. Baxter, Neil, Jack and Frieda are in a maths group called the Foxes. The Foxes were so clever that they worked out lots of different ways for 24 cakes to be shared. I think that one day they will find their times tables very easy!
