Self Portraits

During term 3 we were thinking about ourselves and the things that make us individuals. We made these fabulous self portrait artworks. The painting was a self portrait which means that we painted it ourselves. We used mirrors so that we could remember what we looked like. The pencil sketch is a portrait that was drawn by one of our classmates. They sat opposite us when they were drawing so that they could make it look like us. The word cloud was done by the whole class and our buddies even helped too. We wrote our name on the top of a piece of paper and then we had to move around the classroom writing nice things about our classmates so that we had a whole list of lovely compliments. We took them to the computer room and our year 6 buddies helped us type them into the  wordle website. It was great that they helped us because they said nice things about us as well.

On the back of these posters we did another artwork which had a photo of us in the middle surrounded by a watercolour painting of all the things we are really good at. We are looking forward to taking them home so that we can show them off to our whole family, but they are brightening up our classroom at the moment.

We hope you like them. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We love reading them.

Thanks Dana. We certainly put a lot of effort into them. As you can probably tell they have been laminated so that when they come home they can be treasured!
